Fucked up dream…

Painting by Jennifer Klemp from Venus Envy 2004 Saint Louis

I had this dream that Venus Envy (the annual all woman art show) was a government cover for a group of highly trained female assassins. In the dream, all the artists who showed in Venus Envy were snipers deployed to Iraq. Their job was to wait outside a military hospital and take out any wounded Iraqi soldiers as they were being released. They were hiding in sand dunes around the entrance with high-powered rifles. One of the soldiers got away after taking a bullet in the arm and we joined forces to stop them and expose the conspiracy. Strange…

  1. As former project director of Venus Envy St. Louis,
All I have to say is…. shhhhhhhhhh…. don’t blow our cover. I hear power is officially being handed over to Mallerie at the end of this month.
hehehe… it would be cool if Mal was in charge of a country – we could look forward to midnight e-mails and calls looking for last minute help figuring out economic trade embargos. bitchin.

  2. I have dreams to,
you should go to my journal and read them. Are you single now? Hmmm, I am, hip hip horray! That painting is really beautiful, but I did’ent go to Venus Envy, I not a feminist, and I disagree with segregation of any type. I know, I missed out on a lot of great art work, like the one above, I just like to be contrary, but you knew that. Now you have to visit my LJ. Rose McCann.

    Ah, my little sister, Rose.
I suspected you were single, as I seem to run into your ex everywhere lately.
I, for the record, think those who have been traditionally segregated throughout history have a right to self segregate it order to reclaim and create their collective identity. Someday there will be no need for Venus Envy, or Gay Pride or Black History Month. I think all of us who participate in these events will be more than happy to find something else to do when that day arrives.
