Planned Parenthood marching at Pride Fest
Went to Pride Fest last weekend. saw my friends, The Non Prophets perform their comedy show Saturday afternoon. After that was a commitment ceremony where 35 gay couples exchanged vows. That was really cool to watch.
This is the first Pride Fest I’ve attened in 3 years. It belongs to that myriad of activites that I have not participated in since September 11th. It’s only recently occurring to me what a watermark in my life 9/11 was. Constanly when I try to remember the last time I did something or when I stopped doing something, it goes back to that date.
Of course, avoiding Pride Fest has as much to do with avoiding old girlfriends as it has to do with anything else. I was pretty suprised not to run into many people I know or anyone I’ve dated at Pride the entire weekend.
