Don’t Count On Any Second Coming

Unlike a lot Christians, I’m not waiting on the second coming of Christ. I’m pretty sure it will not happen in my lifetime. I think a lot of so-called Christians think it doesn’t matter how bad we let the world get fucked up, because at some point Jesus is gonna come down, snap his fingers and fix everything when he raptures our asses to heaven.

I think just the opposite is true. I don’t think we’re waiting on Jesus. I think Jesus is waiting on us.  I look around and I don’t see a world much more ready for the arrival of Jesus than we were the first time. So when I hear so-called Christians arguing against immigration, or universal health care or a living wage, I think, “Sorry Jesus, I guess it’s gonna be a while.”

  1. This made me laugh. I’m a Christian, and I really think that a lot of Christians pick the wrong side in political debates because there are a few very specific things spelled out in the bible that lend to one side of the spectrum which consequently influences and informs a lot of their other opinions, but they ignore the other things because no where in the bible does it say “Don’t fuck up the planet with Global Warming,” etc…

  2. Yeah, I think Jesus makes two references to sex in the entire Gospel, but he mentions poverty on every other page, but we like to cherry pick which parts we actually pay attention to.

  3. I actually had a priest (who incidentally is a money grubbing asshole) who, back when the gay marriage thing first boomed as a topic, did a count of all the times things like poverty and such were mentioned and pointed out that there were things that were worth more to worry about.
and also, someday, in the far and distant future, we should sit down for a cup of hot coco, and then go volunteer somewhere. I’d enjoy that.

  4. bible study with the Domina.
Long time no speakie 😉 Another thing to consider is that the Christ is a centrifugal energy force trying to propel us back into the Absolute. As in the primordial substance that is everything. The intiiate Yeshua Pen Pandira – who we know as Jesus Christ was an enlightened Master who was able to incarnate that energy. As with any great Master, his teaching have degenerated over the years to do misguided followers.
Poor modern day Christians are confused by there own dogma and morbidity, they can not see the Kabbalistic nature of the Bible due to a couple thousand years of misinformation. I believe when they are referring to the second coming and second death they are referring to the death of the ego and the return to a more pure state of consciousness. Not as fun as the fire and brimstone but what are you gonna do.
I hope life is smiling on you and that adorable baby is doing great.

  5. If you study the ancient text with new vision you will find that when they bible refers to the waters it is in reference to the Mercurial waters alchemically speaking, and that is related to sexuality. Genesis is actually a Kabbalistic text explaining the Great Arcanum (Sex magick) to mankind. It is written allegorically because that knowledge was to remain hidden. The authors would have been killed for releasing that information publically. Once you start to understand the symbolism and numbers a little better those stories make so much more sense. Just try not to get too caught up in this current strain of psuedo-Christians and there silly ideas about the ancient wisdom. The truth is there if you look closely.
Personally, I prefer the Vedas but there is some very important info stashed in the Bible.
