Today I didn’t even have to use my AK

Dianna Lucas on the roof of the Regional Arts Commission Building

Have you ever had one of those days where every thing looks poised for disaster, but everything just comes together and works out perfectly? No? Me neither, until yesterday. I had set up two interviews for the Venus Envy documentary for this weekend. My first choice of location was Mad Art Gallery, but they weren’t available, so as late as Wednesday, I didn’t have a place locked down. The Regional Arts Commission hooked me up at the last minute. I was gonna interview Cheri Hutchings on Friday and Dianna Lucas on Saturday. Dianna wanted to shoot outside but the forecast was calling for rain. Rob Levy at RAC offered to let us shoot on there roof, so I rescheduled Dianna for Friday right after Cheri.

I was just sort of waiting for something to go wrong all day, and everything just worked out. I ended up getting two really good interviews and ending up on the roof of the RAC building with Dianna under amazing weather.

I’m almost done shooting the Venus Envy documentary. Which is good, cause editing this bad boy is gonna be a bitch.

  1. Why couldn’t you be a couch potato for one evening? Huh?
I lost $5 on a long shot this evening. I bet you would be sitting on your ass at home while the rest of us were having a wonderful time at the Venus Envy Happy Hour “Friend-raiser”. The money went to a good cause – Venus Envy. So if you’re wondering why Mallarie was calling she was just being thorough before taking my money.
So the reason I am posting this here is because I briefly met Dianna Lucas this evening. It was a few moments before then that I recognized her from the photograph that you had posted. Honestly, the photograph doesn’t do her justice.

Just a guy that stops by to say “Howdy!” on occasion.
