  1. The older I got the more my age caught up with my intellect.
    I don’t know how old you are but for me, reaching my thirties brought a lot of difficult truths about who I really was, freed from the expectations of parents and teachers and faced with what I had actually managed to achieve in over a decade of adulthood. Which was not what I had hoped.
    At the moment I am adjusting to the fact that it is very unlikely I will ever be the exceptional success that I once imagined, but also that I don’t need to be and that possibly I have by-passed it for a reason, on the road to something far more solid and worthy.
    Only I’m a long way from that too and it is uncomfortable to be at this inbetween place.

  2. Grinding
    What’s all this talk of grinding? Does stress make you want to grind coffee beans? Grind your teeth? Grind pedestrians into the road with your tires? I don’t see how this is helping you.
