Wolf Pruder is alive and well and living in Granite City

Reports of his death have been slightly exaggerated.

Ran into Wolf, Tazia and Wolf’s son Eric at Mokabe’s. We closed Mokabe’s and went to the Jade Room, closed the Jade Room and went to my apartment. We stayed up until 5AM, talking about the old days: Wabash Triangle Cafe, Mangia, The Way Out Club… I miss the 90’s so bad I could cry…

  1. old days to an old man
Don’t know how “alive” Wolf looks! There used to be another man under that skin there. I am glad I have some meat on my bones. I wish I could have seen them. I love to hear Taz’s laugh. There is not one quite like it in the world. I knew her laugh before I knew her. It echo’s her loving spirit. Makes me melancholy not being there to reminisce.

  2. I would give my right arm to get a Taz laugh right now…
It’s good to hear of both of their wellbeing. John Ayers once showed me pictures of he and Wolf in the 70’s/early 80’s and he was rail thin (as was John) so today’s weight isn’t too far off.
The 90’s will pale in comparisson to what lies ahead of you in the mid to late 00’s my friend – I have no doubt whatsoever.

I have greatly missed you… I hope that you are well! I’m feeling morose… in particular about not having kept in touch; having missed the Wabash Triangle Cafe reunion, as well as the National Poetry Grand Slam… If you get to feel old… so do I! Send me an email… maybe we can get a group gathered. Chit chat, bullshit, talk, laugh, etc… Tazia
