2. drove a ’78 Grenada that ran about 4 days a week.
3. was hopelessly in love with my drug addicted, bi-sexual, polyamorous, pregnant girlfriend
4. was working in a video store for 5 bucks an hour.
5. was incredibly fucking happy.

5 Years Ago, I:
1. was a junior in college.
2. was lusting after
3. still believed in the movie industry
4. was writing for Intermission Magazine
5. was hosting the open mic at Blueberry Hill

3 Years Ago, I:
1. lost my grandmother.
2. lost my job.
3. and lost the last only decent car I ever owned, all the same weekend.
4. was in the most fucked up relationship with that punk rock-nazi-terrorist girl.
5. was about to fall in love with the woman that everybody thought I was going to marry.

1 Year Ago, I:
1. broke off my engagement with the woman that everybody though I was going to marry.
2. had just started dating A.C.
3. did not have a car.
4. was still working the day shift at Expedia.com.
5. made a lot less money than I do now.

Yesterday, I:
1. went to an anarchist book store in Haight Ashbury
2. had lunch with my girl, Sarah, at a thai noodle house
3. sat on the ground at SFO for two hours before our plane was cleared for take off
4. ate McDonald’s in the O’Hare airport at midnight
5. landed in Saint Louis at 1AM

Today, I:
1. slept in my own bed for the first time in two weeks
2. jerked off for the first time in a week
3. dragged myself kicking a screaming into work
4. will drink a lot of coffee and try to write about my trip
5. will feed my girlfriend’s cat

Tomorrow, I:
1. if I have the money, will by my girlfriend a new VCR
2. will play with my niece, who I’m nuts about
3. will get an oil change in a vain attempt to prolong the life of my 88 Pontiac
4. will eat sushi and see a movie at the Tivoli
5. will feel like I’m home
