Raw refers to the photography, not the model. I’ve been doing a lot of stuff in the studio with multiple lights, soft boxes and seamless backdrops, followed by lots of post processing in Photoshop. I wanted to something a little grittier, one light, no diffusion, a completely nude model in front of a bare wall with no props and only minimal processing afterwards.
Of course, I needed a model with the confidence (not to mention the body) to pull this off. My friend Angela was up for it. Can you believe this woman is forty?
No, doesn’t look a day over 33. Have you been groomed to take over Mikey’s job, now that he’s ancient?
Somebody had to go there, and I figured it would be you. You don’t disappoint.
I thought it was rather disappointing, by my standards, but I’m out of practice. Give me time, the evil’s coming back.
Actually, I’m betting that 40 can pull off that kind of pose far better than 20 can. There’s something awesome about the confidence women can gain as they mature.
