I’m Everywhere, You Ain’t Never There: Naughti Gras 3

Jill & Michelle

Jill Aboussie of the band Karate Bikini and Michel Mynx of the pole dancing duo Gravity Plays Favorites.
Here’s a tip if you’re looking for Jill’s band online, search “Karate Bikini Band” or “Karate Bikini St. Louis.” Just googling “Karate Bikini” will pull up a bazillion websites devoted to half naked chicks fighting.

Naughti Gras 3

Not counting a picture I had in a student show at the U. City library when I was a senior in high school, I have never exhibited a piece of visual art in my life. I was encouraged by some friends to enter this NWS photo into the third annual Naughti Gras show at the Koken Art Factory, and it got accepted. Aside from the fact that my personal life imploded that weekend (in some ways imploding at the show itself), I couldn’t have asked for more from my first art show. Several local photographers whose work I have admired for some time (many who have encouraged me along the way) made a point telling me how much they like my photograph and a couple models I have wanted to shoot with but hadn’t approached, approached me about working together. And, to top it all off, my piece sold. First art show down, no complaints.
