Negative Ghost Rider

An open letter to The Marvel Comics Entertainment Group:

Okay, I know there is a running theme in Ghost Rider about second chances, but did you really have to take it literally and hire Mark Steven Johnson to direct it after the horrible job he did on Daredevil? Even after you rejected his screenplay for Elektra? And does that mean that his script was worse than the one you actually used in Elektra. And is that possible?

A Public Service Announcement:

In the interest of the public heath, your friends at 69 & ½ Classic Love Songs would like to advise all lactose intolerant movie goers to avoid Ghost Rider at all costs. The amount of cheese you have to ingest could be fatal. I mean, there’s nothing like an action movie where the bad guys actually laugh manically every time they do something evil.

I was ready to give up on the movie before Nic Cage even came on screen. If it wasn’t for the fact the Eva Mendes is one of the most beautiful women in the world, I might have walked out before the end of the first reel.

The first transformation from Johnny Blaze into the Ghost Rider was disappointing. It amazes me that 25 years after An American Werewolf in London, special effects artists still can’t achieve with computers what Rick Baker was able to in camera.

Speaking of special effects, I totally believed that Nic Cage could turn into a flaming skeleton, I was never convinced however, that he and Eva Mendes were the same age.
