My photo album from the National Poetry Slam is now online. Rather than rehash the things that went wrong, I will refer you to this post by which pretty much says it all.
All drama aside, it was pretty amazing. Seeing Charles Ellik host a slam in which Big Poppa E was performing took me back to the Cafe Du Nord Slam in San Francisco in 1997, which is what inspired me to host the Bluberry Hill Slam in 1998, which is what started the new St. Louis Slam Team, which eventually allowed St. Louis to host the Nationals, which in a round about way makes this all Charles’ fault…
