Alix Olson rockin’ the mic at Off Broadway

If Michael Moore was a young lesbian, who could rhyme, he’d be Alix Olson.

Last Saturday was insane. AC and I caught the Art of the 80’s show at Washington University. That was awesome, getting to be in the same room with the canvases of Keith Harring, Jean-Michall Basquiat, David Salle and Julian Schanbel. Even got to see that Jeff Koons sculpture with the floating basket balls. That thing must be a pain in the ass to ship from gallery to gallery. I miss the 80’s.

Then went to see Kill Bill Vol 2, then went to see Alix Olson at Off Broadway, then went to see The Punisher. Kill Bill was awesome, The Punisher sucked, and Alix Olson stepped of the stage and took a piece of my heart. That dyke’s got mad skillz, yo. Saw her a few years back at Novak’s and God willing I will catch her in DC this weekend.

damn, I WAS going to see the “Punisher” but after reading your very curt review…………
Of course I hold your opinion in high regard

    with envy… I didn’t know that was coming 🙁 …
BTW- if you are going to the March on Washington this weekend HAVE A GREAT TIME AND FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!!

  3. Did you see her yesterday? She was incredible! The whole experience was surreal. My mom was looking for you in the crowd, despite never having met you. It was hysterical, actually… being tapped on the shoulder every 10 minutes, “Is that David?”
    *hugs*

  4. We were already lining up for the march when Alix went on, so I only got to see a little bit it of her. Man, that whole experience was awesome.
