Non Prophet Theatre Company: I’m on the board of directors. This is the company that puts on the sketch comedy show “The Militant Propaganda Bingo Machine” and soon a main stage theatre season, yay!
WORD in Motion: This is the organization that puts on the St. Louis Poetry Slam. I’m on the committee and I co-host the slam.
Pride St. Louis: The folks who do Pride Fest. I’m not super heavily involved. I’m on the committee and helped put together a gay rights history display for them this year. That project kinda kicked my ass.
DHTV Channel 21: I used to do theatre reviews for KDHX radio. Now I shoot plays for Two on the Aisle, the theatre review TV show. I just signed my first contract with them as a producer, to do a music video for the Helium Tapes.
Just Faith Ministries: I actually just graduated from the Just Faith program but I plan to continue on. This is an anti-poverty, anti-racism, social justice movement within the Catholic Church. These are the folks I did relief work with in New Orleans.
Amnesty International: Yeah, that Amnesty International. We’re the folks to call when George W. locks you up and throws away the key. These are the folks I did Slamming for Human Rights with.
The Regional Arts Commission: I’m on the citizen’s review panel for this arts funding behemoth. One of the things I need to do a better job with this year.
Studio 908: My time share photo studio.
Angst Pictures: I am also the president, CEO and sole proprietor of a consistent money loosing video production venture which in 2006 is poised to turn a profit for the first time in its four year history.
Almost all of this is stuff I just got involved with in the last year.
