Sunset over the Pacific Ocean 3.19.04
Sarah brought my digital camera back from San Francisco, so expect a picture posting rampage over the next few days. Or not, depending on my lazy ass.
Life’s been kinda uneventful since I got back from Cali. I shot the Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials, last Saturday, which was fun. Got to talk shop with some Sports Illustrated photographers who were covering it. Man, those guys gave me wicked camera envy. They all has Cannons with telephoto lenses bigger than my head.
I’m shooting Venus Envy tomorrow night. It’s this HUGE all women (or should I say, womyn) art show that my friend Mallarie started six years ago that attracts thousands of people every year and occurs in three cities. Loyal readers will know how much I LOVE art openings, so wish me luck.
I went to school to pick up a camera for the weekend, and Mark, my teacher pulled me aside to tell me that there was an virus in the Avid lab and that everyone’s projects had to be erased from the hard drive. He felt really bad and told me that I basically had carte blanche to use the lab whenever I wanted for the rest of the semester and this summer. Which is cool, since I did very little work this semester anyway. I’m just hoping I backed up the last scene from Nighthawks, but if I didn’t I’m only a little bit screwed.
