How fucked up is it that I sit behind a desk 40 hours a week punching buttons on a computer and my idea of a vacation is to go and sweat my ass off building houses. But that will straighten me out. Editing video in the lab and doing construction work is where life makes sense. Everything else feels like waiting…

This is not only cathartic for you in regards to yourself, but I think your dad would have been proud of you for your connection to him in this endeavor. I hope you will think of him when you are raising a hammer.
