In the brief time since I began this journal I’ve gotten lots of really good feedback from friends and the occasional stranger, both on live journal and off. I would like to thank everyone who’s come on the journey this far. I say that now because some of you may be about to get off the bus with me at this point. If I were smart I wouldn’t post this, but if this journal is to be of any use to me I have to be honest, and ultimately that means risking offending people as well as impressing and entertaining them.
I realize I’m responding to a more tangential part of the entry here, but I had to point out that I had a similar idea to your proposed art project… While L and I were breaking up and and I were getting together, both of them were writing poetry about these events and, naturally, I was writing lots of songs on the topic… I was seriously thinking about recording a very mopy, introspective solo album, and one (or several) of the tracks would have one of them reading their poetry on the left channel simultaneous with the other girl reading THEIR poetry on the right channel… Needless to say, I thought better of it later…
You should keep that and use it in some form in the future. It actually sounds kinda’ cool.
More, more about the control
What I would like to understand more about is where the desire for control over Don’t Answer Girl comes from. Even if it is inconsequential, I’d like to know more about it. You know why I am interested. It has to do with knowing more about what you’re wrestling with in this scenario. -Archer
