Presenting on Power Exchange at Hustler Hollywood in St. Louis.

Hello, I’m David Wraith and I am a sex educator, presenter and co-founder of Sex Positive St. Louis.

I’ve presented on polyamory, nudism, BDSM, sex positivity and body image at New England Leather Alliances’ Fetish Fair Flea Market in Providence, Rhode Island, Metro Vancouver Kink’s Westcoast Bound in Vancouver, British Columbia, the 2014 IvyQ Conference at Dartmouth University and at numerous events in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.

My current roster of classes includes:

Bare as You Dare: Radical Body Acceptance

Polyamory 101 and

Sex Positive (What Is It?)

Macho Submission Workshop

Bare as You Dare: Radical Body Acceptance: Are you or is someone you love a closet nudist or reluctant exhibitionist who’s plagued with body image issues? Bare as You Dare is an open, body positive, clothing optional forum to discuss those issues and how they apply to radical body acceptance, sex positivity and clothing optional socialization. Topics may include nudism, fat shaming, slut shaming, topfree equality, body image in the media, and more. Note: This class usually includes a PowerPoint presentation that requires a projector and screen, but can be presented without it. Also, this class is typically offered as clothing optional and attendees are encouraged (though not required) to disrobe.

Here’s an article from the Riverfront Times about Bare as You Dare.

Here’s what one attendee had to say about Bare as You Dare, “The Bare as You Dare event held by SEX+STL has, thus far, been one of the most transformative experiences of my life.” – J. from St. Louis. Read her full testimonial here.

Polyamory 101: Polyamory 101 is for the poly curious, the newly poly and anyone who is thinking about opening their relationship to consensual non-monogamy. Topics will include the myriad of non-monogamous relationship structures, the ethics of polyamory, negotiation and consent, time management, and how to be poly in an ostensibly monogamous world.

Sex Positive (What Is It?): Coined over half a century ago by psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich, the term “sex positive” still inspires confusion and fear. What does sex positive mean and, perhaps more importantly, what does it mean to be sex positive? This class will discuss the definition of the term “sex positive,” the history of the sex positive movement, and how we apply the principles of sex positivity to our daily lives. Note: This class usually includes a PowerPoint presentation that requires a projector and screen, but can be presented without it.

Macho Submission Workshop: Are you a bottom who’s constantly mistaken for a top? Do you often get accused of not being a “true submissive,” when you don’t fall at the feet of every Dom? The Macho Submission Workshop is a space for anyone whose submissive orientation conflicts with their macho presentation, especially (but not limited to) the male bodied, male identified, or any sub or switch who self-identifies as butch. Topics may include: how to best integrate the different sides of your persona for yourself and your partners, as well as dealing with the omnipresent “True Doms.” This workshop is open to all genders and gender identities.

Scene Politics – Drama & Inclusion: A facilitated discussion on the politics of alternative sexual communities, from the presence of sexual predators, to competition between groups and event promoters, to the lack of racial, sexual and or gender diversity. The goal of this discussion is to open a dialogue on how we who practice power exchange can abandon the negative power dynamics we have internalized from the default world and create a safer, more inclusive community.

I’m also happy to develop custom classes in the areas of polyamory, nudism, BDSM, sex positivity and body-image based on interest and need.
